Junie B. is less than thrilled to learn she’ll have a new baby brother. When she hears Grandma call him “a cutest little monkey,” she’s convinced she’s going to school with a real monkey! She shares the news at show-and-tell; her friends Lucille and Grace shower her with bribes to be the first to meet him. Junie B. plays along—earning gifts. But when things get messy and feelings get hurt, she learns that things adults say don’t always make sense… and maybe her sweet baby brother isn’t such a “monkey” after all.
